Ruler Foods will open its first brand new “From The Ground Up” store in the country tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 10 AM. Several Ruler Food locations take over an existing store or building, but this new Frankfort location will be the first purpose-built store in the country for Ruler Foods. The new store is in the former location of the “Old K-mart Building” just east of South Hoke Avenue south of “the jog”.
Ruler Food’s niche is for the “Value Shopper who wants to save money or needs to save money” according to company representative John Kelly. Normal hours for Ruler foods will be 8 to 8 Monday-Saturday and 10-7 Sunday. Ruler Foods closes three days each year: Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter.
Shine 99 Morning Show’s Cindy Loveless will host a live broadcast – and morning show partner Brandon will be on hand as well (from morning show team “Brando & Cindy In The Morning” on 50,000 watt radio station Shine 99 on location at Ruler Foods from 10 to Noon. The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce will host a Ribbon Cutting at the store at 11:00 am. President of Ruler Foods plans to be at the Ribbon Cutting Tomorrow.
Gifts will be given to the first 200 people who attend the grand opening.
Ruler Foods is operated by JayC foods, a subsidiary of Kroger Foods.
