Frankfort High School Girls’ Tennis Team Off to Good Start

The Frankfort High School girls’ tennis team improved to 3-1 on the season with a 4-1 victory over Twin Lakes Tuesday afternoon in Frankfort.

Winning singles matches for Frankfort were Emily Michael and Riley Isgrigg. Doubles victories were recorded by Lucy Calvert and Rylee Seibert as well as the team of Abby Pierce and Jalynn Kidwell.

Winners in junior varsity competition were Rebeca Perez, Maddie Toney, Ashlynn Harshbarger, Calista Irons, Maddie Swinford and Marilu Perez.

On April 17, the Hot Dogs suffered their only loss of the season to West Lafayette by a 5-0 score.

In junior varsity, Itsel Barrera recorded a singles victory.

On April 12, Frankfort blanked Delphi 5-0. Singles victories went to Michael, Isgrigg and Annie Giebel, while the doubles teams of Calvert and Seibert along with Pierce and Kidwell were also victorious.

Junior varsity winners were Harshbarger, Perez, Toney, Barrera, Irons and Swinford.

Frankfort opened its season on April 11 with a 4-1 victory over Western in Russiaville. Michael and Giebel won singles matches, while the doubles teams of Calvert/Seibert and Pierce/Kidwell were also victorious.
