The chief concern of Clinton County Fair Council, Inc. (CCFC) is the safety of the people who attend events on the fairgrounds. To that end, CCFC Public Relations Specialist Skip Davis has undertaken the rewriting of the Clinton County Fairgrounds Emergency Manual.
To give this emergency manual a thorough review, Davis has requested a meeting with representatives of each first responder and emergency agency in Clinton County. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room in the basement of the Sheriff’s office.
Along with members of the Clinton County Fair Council, Davis has invited attendance by representatives of the Clinton County 4-H Council, Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Frankfort Police Department, Frankfort Fire Department, Clinton County’s township fire departments, Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Medical Services, and the County Coroner’s Office.
Davis says, “The emergency manual is designed to provide fair council and other leaders on the fairgrounds guidance in how they should react to various emergency situations. “Davis reiterates, “The health and well being of those who attend fairground events is our primary concern and we hope this document will help lead to positive outcomes.”
The Clinton County Fair is July 8-15, at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
